Nationally recognized naturopathic institution Bastyr University celebrates what would have been its namesake’s 100th birthday this year. Dr. John Bastyr devoted considerable time during his career to providing naturopathic care to patients that didn’t have the means to pay. Bastyr Center for Natural Health (Bastyr’s Teaching Clinic) continues that tradition with its Community Care Program, which provided 1.8 million dollars in uncompensated care in 2011.
